Bus Hire Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions (Terms) govern the hire of buses from Dhillon Bus Charter (the Company) to the customer (the Hirer). By hiring a bus from the Company, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Booking and Payment

1.1 The Hirer must make a booking in advance and provide all necessary details, including the date and time of hire, destination, and the number of passengers.

1.2 A non-refundable deposit may be required at the time of booking. Full payment must be made prior to the date of hire, unless you hold an account with Dhillon Bus Charter.

1.3 The Company reserves the right to cancel a booking if payment is not received in accordance with the agreed terms.

2. Cancellation and Refunds

2.1 The Hirer may cancel the booking by providing written notice to the Company. Cancellation charges may apply, as follows:

a. More than 30 days prior to the hire date: No cancellation fee.

b. 7 to 10 days prior to the hire date: 50% of the total hire cost.

c. Less than 7 days prior to the hire date: 100% of the total hire cost.

2.2 The Company may cancel the booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., mechanical issues). In such cases, a full refund will be provided, or an alternative bus may be offered if available.

3. Vehicle Specifications and Safety

3.1 The Company will provide a bus with specifications as agreed upon in the booking, including seating capacity. The Hirer must not exceed the specified passenger limit.

3.2 The Hirer is responsible for ensuring the safety and conduct of passengers during the journey.

3.3 Seat belts must be worn by all passengers, and any safety instructions from the driver must be followed.

3.4 The Company is not liable for any damage to personal property during the journey.

4. Driver

4.1 The Company will provide a qualified and licensed driver for the hired bus.

4.2 The Hirer must provide a detailed itinerary to the driver and adhere to the agreed schedule.

4.3 Overtime charges may apply if the driver's working hours exceed what was initially agreed upon.

5. Prohibited Activities

5.1 Smoking, alcohol consumption, and illegal substances are strictly prohibited on the bus.

5.2 The Hirer is responsible for ensuring passengers behave in a safe and orderly manner.

6. Damage and Cleaning

6.1 The Hirer is responsible for any damage to the bus, or its equipment caused by themselves or their passengers. Repair costs will be billed to the Hirer.

6.2 The Hirer is responsible for leaving the bus in a clean and tidy condition. Additional cleaning charges may apply if necessary.

7. Insurance

7.1 The Company carries insurance coverage for its buses, but the Hirer is advised to have their own travel insurance for additional protection.

8. Force Majeure

8.1 The Company is not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to events beyond its control, such as acts of nature, accidents, or labour disputes.

9. Dispute Resolution

9.1 Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved through negotiation between the Company and the Hirer.

10. Governing Law

10.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, and any legal action must be filed in the appropriate court in that jurisdiction.

11. Amendments

11.1 These Terms may be amended by the Company at its discretion. Any changes will be communicated to the Hirer in writing.

By hiring a bus from Dhillon Bus Charter,  the Hirer acknowledges and agrees to these Terms and Conditions.
